The Antipodes Series

The Antipodes and Latitude series are thought-provoking works of eco-dystopian fiction set in a near-future world grappling with climate collapse, social inequities, and ethical dilemmas about survival. Blending adventure, philosophy, and social commentary, the series invites readers to reflect on community, sustainability, and the human capacity for resilience and reinvention.

Would YOU be chosen?

What would YOU sacrifice for family?

What value do YOU place on friendship?

What would YOU risk for those you love?

What would YOU do to protect your children?

The Latitude Series

The Latitude series extends upon the original Antipodes series. Set in the same world as Antipodes, Latitude is a futuristic perspective on what could happen if society doesn’t address the mistakes of the past. This series comprises the five-star read and Readers’ Favourite Finalist, The 45th Parallel, Orenda, and Bifrost.

Would YOU abandon your destiny?

What do YOU value above all else?

What legacy will YOU leave for future generations?

Crossroads is the exciting prequel to the international award-winning Antipodes series.

Driven and focused, Freyja Jorgensen has her life mapped out – vet school and a rewarding career. But one malicious lie derails her plans and sets her on a new life path. As a viral outbreak threatens the planet, she is selected to help form a modern, sustainable community with a group of highly skilled young people. Hiding from her past, Freyja struggles to connect until she meets Cam, who grapples with demons of his own.

About the author

T.S. Simons (Tanya) is a six-time international award-winning Australian author of Scottish heritage whose work blends page-turning storytelling with profound, human questions. Living in the alpine region of Australia, she writes speculative fiction anchored in the values of integrity, sustainability, and community—challenging readers to consider how societies are built, who gets to decide, and what we owe each other.

Her Antipodes series asks: if young people had the chance to start over, would they repeat the past—or reimagine it? The companion Latitude series examines life across different societal models and explores what might happen if science is allowed to determine the human condition.

An Australia Reads Ambassador, Tanya holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, as well as postgraduate qualifications in governance and management, and is an accredited company director. Off the page, she enjoys reading, travel, mythology, and snow skiing while (mostly) being managed by a standard schnauzer, a fox‑red labrador, three rescue cats, two Maine Coon kittens, and her foster Corgis.

She also publishes under the name Freyja Frost (www.freyjafrost.com).
